day 1: shenzhen and guangzhou

how do you start a four day bus journey with 26 students? you round them up by 9am to take a bus to the border of china, thats how. you land in shenzhen and do what any civilized person should do: get a USD 4 foot massage
here is my dude--from sichuan and was a bad foot massager. but for one hour? ok!:
then u convince other students, including nephew, to do the same.
after the hour is finished, you can get fake stuff. like 2 rolex watches (check) and go to a bad lunch.
and then, 7 hours later, we arrive in guanzhou, second largest city/province in china. wow. last time i spent time here (excluding last year) there were no highways, cars or paved roads. traffic? yes. but bikes.
and as i told the students about china "its all fair game."
nuff said. explain wTF a guy on a bike is doing on a FREEWAY?!
