a freshly made dan tat: egg custard tart. warm, inviting, can be eaten in one gulp. careful though: its so delicate that it can break apart and fall on the floor.ive been teaching for two days straight and i am t.i.r.e.d nothing to report except:
1. ive got 12 students who are game to anything. a nice change of pace
2. i made 30 students squat like they were on a chinese toilet yesterday. "squat!" i yelled, for
one minute and NO CHEATING. they all did it. :) more power to me
3. decided to forgo the teaching this afternoon and took my class to go see this:

--one girl cried throughout the entire movie. what is it about? dr. sun yat sen. what the heck was she crying about? all the bodyguards who were killed protecting him in HK.
4. taking all the students to the night market tonight. wish me luck, that i don't break apart like a dan tat. it could be worse; i could be stuck in beijing and seoul under the worst snow storm in 73 years :)
